It can get very confusing knowing how to combine all the tools you have at your disposal. Used correctly, the tools will help you grow your website. But used incorrectly, your conversions can decline.
A primary question is this. Will using a URL in “Google My Business” that lists a page on your website that sends visitors to a ClickFunnels landing page affect your ratings? Should you just have a URL on your web page that sends visitors to your ClickFunnels? Would it be better for your site?
It Really Doesn’t Matter
I know you think it matters, but in this case, it is not so important. The focus needs to be on your page. What I mean is, it really doesn’t matter as long as the page is optimized correctly and all of the elements that go into setting up the page are in place.

It all comes down to the content on the website. ClickFunnels or not ClickFunnels doesn’t necessarily matter. It’s more about what’s on the website that’s going to have the biggest impact. The faster you learn this, the better. Your website will continue to grow. This is not something you will use once and forget it. Technology will surely grow. The knowledge you gain will be the foundation you will build upon.

You provided a free cheat sheet download for law firms. Now you are asking if it is right to give them all a phone call in a few days? That feels like harvesting their email as an excuse to call them, and I do not think that is a good way to begin a relationship with them. Of course, we know your guide and your follow-up is all in-house, but to the customer, it may not be received as such.
The law firm may see it as one of the oldest marketing tricks in the book. We have come to expect a simple free quote or a sample of a new coffee will send us an avalanche of email.
This is an interesting question, and it opens some interesting options. When you offer a cheat sheet download, you are going to get their email. Typically, you will ask for their name and email for this type of download. When we have asked for a phone number, we have offered to text them a pocket guide. We will then follow up with an email that is automatically generated but looks personal. People who buy my book get this email. It gets me a lot of responses. It is a short and effective email.
When someone buys my book, they get an email that is clearly an auto-generated email. It is written that way intentionally. About an hour later, another email comes that looks like I wrote it personally. It is worded like, Hey Bill. Thanks for buying my book. What practice area do you cover? It just asks something along those lines. It is like, what area of law do you practice? It is casually signed, Andy.
What is great about this, is we have now started a dialog. The person believes they are speaking to me. I have asked them a question and they are answering the question. This is important. They do not feel like I am playing games with them. They are not disrespected or insulted because they feel tricked into giving up their information. I asked them a question and they were happy to respond. I get that response at least 50% of the time. The door is opened a bit for conversation and sometimes they will actually contact me. Some will even hire me.
In my opinion, this will get you a lot more traction than calling someone just because they took advantage of your free guide. That strategy could probably annoy them. But if you reach out to them in an automated way and ask them a relative question, you can get the dialog started. Play around with the question and see what gets you the best responses. Just make sure it is a question that is related to whatever problem they have.
Nobody wants to feel like they were tricked into a sales gimmick. Let them have something of value and give them the assurance that you are for real. Treat them like you would want to be treated. That’s how you get the best clients.

Sooner or later, everyone has a spouse, a parent, or grandparent who is faced with the need for long-term care. If your law firm is trying to attract that potential client, it can seem like a sensitive subject and you may find it difficult to approach. But, it is a subject you have to address. Break the ice with a conversation so that your potential client can reach out to you for help and so they can get the help they need to relax and enjoy the final years they have with their loved one.
While the laws may be different in some states, I have spoken to many attorneys in Florida. Here, the assets of the senior are used first to pay for their care and then Medicare begins to pay for their care. Of course, no one wants the government to take everything they own, and that is why they need a lawyer to help them avoid this. Without your services, they may not even know they have choices.
I have given this much thought. I have worked on campaigns for people in this situation many times. In order to get the proper perspective, think of how it feels to be a senior citizen in this position. What if you were their spouse, child or grandchild?
There are ways to avoid this. But, the time to act is before the senior is in need of a nursing home. In a perfect world, when a couple begins to age and their family is out on their own, they will make plans to discuss this together and later with an attorney. This is the wisest and most caring way to address the inevitable.
What I would do
I would run a Facebook ad. Create an ad that targets people that are in the age range of 40 to maybe 60. Figure out what they want and create content that fills the need. Here are some suggestions.
- Are they afraid their parents will lose their homes, savings, and everything they have worked for if they get sick?
- Do their parents need to take things out of their names before they get sick or unable to handle their affairs?
- Are they worried that their parents will fall victim to a scammer who will make them think they are taking care of everything, only to find themselves broke?
- Are they contemplating a reverse mortgage?
- Are they concerned that a member of the family will force their way in and will not have their best interest at heart?
- Do they have wills and insurance policies that are no longer correct due to beneficiaries being deceased? Have wives and husbands become ex-wives and ex-husbands? The time for surprises is not in a moment of grief.
- Can a lawyer ensure that their wishes can not be overturned?
These are some of the worries potential clients have. This gives you plenty of content to get your campaign started.
